Casey Davenhill
Executive Director
Casey has been the Cherry Creek Stewardship Partners Director for over 10 years. As a consultant to the Trust for Public Lands, Casey helped to assemble the stakeholder group to develop the Cherry Creek Basin Open Space Stewardship and Conservation Plan, 2002. Working with a growing and diverse group of Partners, Casey has promoted conservation and stewardship in the Cherry Creek basin through active volunteer restoration programs to train and support school and community groups as well as outreach to the educational community to provide teacher training workshops, science fair support and service learning opportunities. As Administrator for the Colorado Watershed Network and the Colorado Watershed Assembly, Casey has a long history of coordination with River Watch and other important programs and projects facilitated by these two organizations.

Over the years, Casey has participated in the planning and implementation for numerous guiding documents developed for the Cherry Creek Watershed such as the new Watershed Master Plan being compiled by the Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality Authority. Casey represents the Partners as a participant in the Cherry Creek Working Group, a collaborative group made up of local elected officials and land use staff and promoting the shared public health benefits of connected open space parks and trails. Casey is also the Local Basin Contact for Water 2012 which is engaged in the public education process associated with Colorado’s Interbasin Compact Committee’s Metro Roundtable education and outreach efforts.

Casey uses her accounting training and experience to offer professional guidance to watershed and educational non-profit groups in maintaining their financial accounts and providing grant and financial management support.
