Colorado Parks and Wildlife Strategic Planning Process
Be a part of the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Strategic Planning Process!

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is embarking on a strategic planning process to guide CPW's efforts into the future. CPW wants to actively engage their stakeholders and the public in the strategic planning process, and will have different opportunities for stakeholders to voice their opinions through the month of March. Public input will be utilized along with other comments, research, and planning efforts to inform the development of CPW's 2015 Strategic Plan. The draft plan will be released in summer 2015 for public review, and the plan will be finalized in fall 2015. For more information on the process, click here

Let your voice be heard! We encourage you to participate in the process in the following ways:
  • Attend one of the remaining public meetings in-person. The list of meetings can be found here.

  • Take part in the Telephone Town Hall meeting, scheduled for March 19This is an opportunity for you to talk personally to CPW employees about the planning process. CPW will be calling their contacts during the Telephone Town Hall, but stakeholders will also have the opportunity to call in.

  • Submit a public comment by April 3An online comment form is available in English and Spanish on the CPW website. It's quick and easy to navigate.
One last thing - the Colorado Watershed Assembly is working as an organization to submit a comment to Colorado Parks and Wildlife via their online form. If you have any comments you would like to see included with our submission, please email them to Erika Shioya at erikas@coloradowater.org or submit them as a comment to this blog post by March 18.

We value your thoughts and ideas and want our comment to CPW to reflect those of our members.

Thank you for your time!
